On the afternoon of February 10, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Anhuali Apartment Complex of Anzhen Neighborhood in Chaoyang District, Beijing, to inspect the implementation of infection prevention and control measures at the grassroots level and exchange with community workers present. Xi stressed, the fight against the epidemic is a people’s war; to win it, we should trust and mobilize the masses and fully play communities’ role as a frontline in combating the spread of the virus. To this end, we need to recruit more community workers and enhance the effect of community work; the gravity of infection prevention and control work and resources should move downward to support community work and construct a people’s defense line against the epidemic.
