It’s learnt from Shijiazhuang Municipal Market Regulation Bureau that as of February 22, a total of 539 food & beverage enterprises had reopened to provide contact-less services across the city. Through the period of epidemic control, their services will be limited to takeout and food delivery. More are expected to reopen as time passes.
According to statistical data, from January 25 to February 22, ele.me. handled 132,000 orders of contact-less delivery and Meituan Waimai 160,000. On February 22, the number peaked at 6,703 and 6,129 on the two platforms, respectively. "The recent soaring of food delivery orders reflect the strong consumption demand. Consumers are generally satisfied with the food and delivery services," noted an insider of the Bureau.
