Shijiazhuang Promotes “Travel QR Code” Citywide for Epidemic Control

With the approval of the city’s leading group for dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic, Shijiazhuang has decided to launch the  "travel QR code"  citywide in reference to the practice of other parts of China. The QR code will help trace all the passengers of public transport and those entering and exiting public spaces and residential compounds, make targeted infection prevention and control efforts, and stop the spread of the coronavirus. 

The  "travel QR code"  will be posted at all means of public transport (public buses, metro stations, etc.), public spaces (including office buildings for government organs, public institutions and enterprises, shopping malls, supermarkets, hospitals, and other workplaces that have resumed operation), and residential compounds. Before you pass any of the above areas, you need to open WeChat to scan the QR code, and authorize the tracing of GPS and the use of your mobile phone for registration. The registration is simple, safe and convenient, and will take you only less than five seconds. If any registered user is found infected or identified as a high-risk contact, the system will identify and notify his/her companions or contacts immediately of the risk.
