March 5 (reporter of Hebei Daily: Wu Peiyuan, correspondents: Wang Jianxun, Xu Yanbo) This morning, Baifo bus terminal, the road transport hub of Shijiazhuang, welcomed the first passenger bus since its reopening – the Jinzhou-Shijiazhuang route operated by Xinganxian Passenger Transport Company. It marked that the cityis lifting bans on road passenger transport.
As more and more businesses reopen, the demand for road passenger transport has soared. With the approval of the city government, Baifo bus terminal will reopen from today, but limited to only the Shijiazhuang-Jinzhou route. There will be two buses running four trips between the two cities from point to point and station to station, meaning that the bus won’t stop or pick up or drop off any passenger along the way. The tickets sold won’t surpass 50% of the seating capacity, as required by the Ministry of Transport. The fleet will be expanded to accommodate the growing passenger flow.
