On March 17, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via its official account "China Consular Affairs" on WeChat, sent an international travel alert. Considering the continuous spread of COVID-19 in the rest of the world, the MOF kindly asked overseas Chinese citizens to fully assess the infection risk associated with international travel if you have any international travel plan, and do not go to high-risk countries such as Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Iran and the Republic of Korea. If you are in one of the above countries, you are advised to take good precautions, reduce nonessential trips and avoid make international travel so as to protect yourself from cross infection.
If you have close contact with confirmed cases or have fever or other suspected symptoms, you should self-isolate at home and contact local hospital for consultation and treatment. In case of emergency, please contact local Chinese embassy or consulate for help.
