(Correspondent: Zhao Chunhui; reporter of Hebei Daily: Liu Jianying) Recently the Market Regulation Bureau of Handan Municipality has launched the "Assurance Code" at 1,000 catering facilities that have reopened in the downtown area. The code will be promoted in all catering service providers across the city.
The "Assurance Code" is developed based on big data and exclusively for catering service providers, with one code for one restaurant. It will be put up in a prominent position in the restaurant, and diners will need to scan the code via WeChat or other authorized app to provide data about when, who and where and link the data with the Assurance Code scanned. It will save manpower in registering such data for each consumer and thus significantly reduce the risk of cross infection. Meanwhile it can help establish the diner traceability system. Once any diner of the restaurant is confirmed or suspected of catching the coronavirus, the system will notify the other diners visiting the restaurant in the same time slot to minimize the impact.
