Shijiazhuang, March 22 (Reporter: Qin Jing) The Health Commission of Hebei Province announced on March 22 that the province saw its first imported case of COVID-19 (in Tangshan city) from 0:00 to 24:00 March 21, the first one in Hebei.
The patient is a 60-year-old female from Fengrun district of Tangshan. She went to Paris on January 23, and flew CA934 to Beijing on March 14. She kept her mask on throughout the whole flight and her temperature was normal after getting off the plane. On the same day, she return to Fengrun and was isolated in a centralized quarantine location for medical observation. During that period, she took two nucleic acid tests and one serum antibody test, and all the results came negative. On March 20, she became feverish and was sent to the fever clinic of Fengrun District People’s Hospital by an ambulance. On March 21, she took her third nucleic acid test and was tested positive of the novel coronavirus. Her close contacts are being tracked down.
