Following its Notice on the Survey on the Intention to Take Chartered Planes Back to China on April 5, the Chinese Embassy in the United States is working hard to collect the registration information and contacting domestic competent authorities and airlines to arrange chartered flights to fly home overseas Chinese students in need.
But considering the limited number of flights, the Embassy advises Chinese students in the United States to follow the instructions of the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control and local health authorities and reduce unnecessary travel to protect themselves from the coronavirus.
In accordance with domestic policies and requirements, the chartered flights are not open to the following Chinese citizens for the time being:
1. Confirmed cases, suspected cases, individuals having a fever or other suspicious symptoms, and their close contacts;
2. Underage Chinese students accompanied by their parent(s);
3. Government-sponsored students and visiting scholars;
4. Diplomats and their family (regardless of age) in the Chinese embassy and consulates and diplomatic personnel studying in the United States.
In the spirit of openness, transparency and fairness, the Embassy will check and approve the passenger list in accordance with domestic requirements and standards, and appreciate full cooperation and understanding from students and parents.
