Chinese Passengers Flying from 26 Countries Demanded to Provide Health Information in Advance

Beijing, April 7 (Reporter: Fan Xi) The Civil Aviation Administration of China and the General Administration of Customs of China jointly announced on April 7 that to contain the cross-border spread of COVID-19, passengers of Chinese nationality who have purchased flight tickets heading to China from the following countries must provide health information in advance: Italy, the United States, Spain, Germany, Iran, France, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, Malaysia, Denmark, Canada, Israel, Czech Republic, Ireland, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Specifically, from April 8, the above passengers need to fill in, or ask someone else to help fill in under special circumstances, their personal data, health status and recent travel history on the mini-app  "Anti-coronavirus Health Code"  on WeChat on a daily basis before boarding. 

Passengers who will fly during the transition period (April 8-22) must start filling in data from April 8 every day without interruption; those who fly after that should start doing so on the 14th day before their flight date. 

Passengers who fail to comply will be denied of boarding and those who provide false information will have their trip blocked and assume legal liability.
