Hebei announces school opening time

April 9 (Hebei Daily reporters: Ma Li, Sang Shan) It’s learnt from the Hebei provincial education department that the province’s ordinary high schools will open on April 23 for third graders, and shall organize the back-to-school activities in a safe, stable and orderly way according to relevant requirements, and take effective precautions against the COVID-19 outbreak. The third graders of middle schools and those of secondary vocational schools who have signed up for this year’s college entrance exam will return to school on May 7. The opening time of other grades of ordinary high schools, junior high schools and secondary vocational schools, as well as of primary schools, kindergartens and special education schools will be separately notified.

The opening time of institutions of higher education shall be determined separately in light of the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the requirements of the Ministry of Education. Before the formal school opening, primary and secondary schools and universities should continue to provide online education as required. Before the reopening of schools at all levels, private educational agencies are banned from launching offline training activities.
